How many positions can each participant list on the registration form?
Each participant must list 1 primary position and 1 secondary position. If you only play 1 position, make sure to only list that position.
Is it possible that a player will be asked to play out of position?
After watching the evaluations, coaches’ sometimes make special requests to see certain players play different positions. Often times, coaches and schools have different needs and project players differently. While you might be the star shortstop on your current high school team, college coaches could very well project you as an outfielder at their program. If asked, be ready to play different positions.
Are parents allowed to attend the Camp?
Yes. We strongly encourage parents to attend the camp and network with the College Coaches.
Are the listed schools for each camp guaranteed to be in attendance for the entire camp?
Showball hires coaches from the top Division I programs in the nation to provide instruction and insight. All listed schools enter into an agreement with Showball and are guaranteed to be in attendance the entire camp. Baring the College Coach being terminated from their program or a last minute family emergency we guarantee as advertised.
Will Showball provide lodging and meals for camp participants?
No. All participants are responsible for their own lodging and meals. Showball has arranged for a special camp rate at a local hotel in each city. Please click on the “Hotel Info” link for more information. To receive the special rate, simply notify the hotel that you’re attending the Showball camp.
What should each player bring to the camp?
All players are required to bring their baseball equipment (baseball gloves, batting gloves, bats, helmets, and catcher’s equipment), baseball pants, socks, and belts and cleats. Please bring white pants, red socks and a red belt. Showball will provide players with shirts and hats at check in. After the 1st day, all players must show up to the camp in full uniform with shirts tucked in and hats on properly (College Coaches like to see you ready to play).
Can my child be placed on the same team as a friend or high school teammate?
Showball will make every effort to accommodate special requests and place friends and high school teammates on the same team. However, due to limited roster space, not all requests can be guaranteed.
Is this an aluminum or wood bat camp?
Since Showball permits all high school and college regulated aluminum bats as well as wood bats, each player is free to use the bat of their choice.
Will each player be provided with an evaluation?
Yes. Each College Coach will be assigned a player to evaluate. The evaluation will be handed to the player from the coach personally at the conclusion of their last game. The assessment will consist of their 60 yd dash time, home to 1st time, INF and OF MPH, Pitchers MPH, and pop time to 2nd.
In the event of inclement weather, will a refund be issued?
Since all expenses are paid in their entirety prior to the start of the camp, there will be no refunds. Please be advised that Showball does not get reimbursed for field expenses or fees paid to College Coaches in the event of a rain out. However, we will do everything in our power to complete as much of the camp as possible. Secondary fields and indoor batting cages are secured as a back-up plan.
Who may attend a Showball Showcase Camp?
All Showball events are only limited by age and total number of participants.
What is the Cancellation / Refund Policy?
Showball
does not offer cash refunds or credits in the event of a cancellation within 30 calendar days of a given camp. In the event of a cancellation outside of 30 calendar days from the beginning of the camp, customers will be offered credit to a future camp within 1 calendar year of the original camp. If you cannot attend and the event starts within 30 days, you may transfer your spot to another player *The primary position of the replacement player must be the same as the original registrant. If a cancellation is made outside 30 days, there is a $100 camp transfer fee for any credit given towards another event.
